our story.
it was never really about the wine.
there's a moment that happens somewhere between walking through the door and actually being home. you're physically done with the day. but you're still in it — still running the meeting back, still half-drafting the email you'll send tomorrow.
the pour was never the point. the point was the signal. something that said: that part's over now.
for a lot of us, wine got recruited into that job because it was there, and because it worked well enough. it marks the transition. it gives your hands something to do. it turns 6pm into evening.
the trouble is what it costs to borrow. you get the softening, and then you get the 3am wake-up, the flat morning, the low-grade sense that you traded tomorrow for tonight.
so we asked a narrower question than most people ask about drinking: what if you kept the ritual and swapped the ingredient?
what we made
after work is a nightly gummy built around five botanicals with long histories in traditional practice for exactly this moment — reishi, l-theanine, lemon balm, passion flower, and valerian root. not a sleeping pill. not a substitute you're supposed to feel guilty about needing. a ritual with the same shape as the old one and none of the debt.
you take it when you get home. you do the thing you actually wanted to do with your evening. you wake up like a person.
